Great Expectations School News

Greetings, Families! Today's newsletter will be brief, with a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL TOMORROW. This information was not included in last week's newsletter, and I hope it doesn't cause problems for anyone. In the health realm, families should be aware that some classrooms are experiencing several students out with sore throats, and other cold-like symptoms. Besides the common cold, we have had at least one case of Strep Throat this week. If your child has a sore throat, consider a throat culture as well as Covid testing. It may not be Covid, but could be Strep. When in doubt, call the clinic: 387-2330 for guidance. Grace and Jodi in Public Health would like to encourage testing as soon as symptoms present themselves. It's better to be safe than sorry AND it makes contact tracing easier. They also shared that many recent positive cases are co-presenting with RSV and Strep. Lastly, please note the important news below from Great Lunch.

Important Dates & Events

A 15/20 grade is easier to evaluate once the score is converted into a percentage. This can help students compare their performance with the grading boundaries used by their school or course. It may also provide a clearer indication of whether the result meets their personal expectations. Understanding the score can help with setting goals for future assessments.

Using a click counter online can be a convenient alternative when you do not have a physical counter nearby. It can help with everything from tracking exercise repetitions to counting tasks during a project. A running digital total makes it easy to see your progress as you work. This can be particularly useful when you already have a phone or computer available.

A happy birthday gif with music offers a creative alternative to sending a traditional birthday card online. The combination of movement and sound can make the greeting feel more energetic and festive. It works well for friends and family members who enjoy receiving playful digital messages. A well-chosen animation can communicate your birthday wishes in a fun way.

Choosing the best book for intermittent fasting often depends on whether you want practical meal-timing advice or more detailed information about nutrition and research. A good resource should explain the basics clearly and acknowledge that fasting may not suit everyone. It can also be useful to compare different approaches rather than relying on one rigid method. Balanced information makes it easier to make informed decisions.
