Science reached 62.5% in 2024, then dipped with the rest of the state in 2025, when the new MCA shifted from recalling facts to process and conceptual understanding. Instruction has started to follow that shift. In 2026 science came back above the statewide rate, at 33.3%. That is not the 2024 peak, but it is real progress on a harder test.
