02/26/20 GES News

Greetings, families! Last week ended with two days of workshops with musician/teacher/theatre artist, Dylan Fresco.  These fun and valuable experiences were enjoyed by students and staff, alike!  Ask your student what their favorite activity with Dylan was, and watch for pictures to come on the GES Facebook page.   This week's news contains important information on upcoming events:

SWIMMING LESSONS

Swim lessons begin THIS Friday, 2/28 for students in grades K-4

Students should bring their swimsuit and towel to school on Mondays,Thursdays and Fridays on March school days (excluding Friday 3/6).Bear Cubs and Fawns will have 40 minute lessons.  Beavers and Wolves lessons will be 45 minutes.Cost per student:  $30 donation (not included in student Y membership).  Checks should be made payable to GES and may be sent to school with students.  Please contact school if you have questions.

KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT OPEN!

Call to action: Kindergarten enrollment is open for the 2020-2021 school year.  Please share what you love about GES with friends, family, and co-workers and encourage families with eligible kindergarteners to apply by March 19th.  Sharing your experiences can have a huge impact!See flyer for details!

SPRING CONFERENCES

4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, 3/10, Thursday, 3/12 and Monday, 3/16.  Watch for the SignUpGenius email later this week!  Please note: Due to the Costa Rica trip, the Otters conferences will take place at a separate time, to be determined.

SPRING BREAK

Friday, 3/20 - Sunday, 3/29.  SCHOOL RESUMES MONDAY, 3/30.

ISD 166 SPRING SPORTS MEETING

Tuesday, 3/3 at 6:00 pm in the high school gym.

WALK & ROLL WEDNESDAYS

Walking group resumes on Wednesday, 3/4.  See flyer for details.
