School LunchThanks to our active food committee volunteers, Great Expectations School serves hot lunches every Friday. We serve meals using as much organic ingrediants as possible and offer dairy-free and gluten-free options. We rotate the following menus throughout the year. Spaghetti with Meatballs: regular or gluten-free noodles served with meatballs and sauce, tossed organic greens, an assortment of organic veggies & fruit and milk. Soup & Sandwich or Soup & Salad: organic chicken wild rice soup served with grilled cheese sandwiches or gluten-free crackers, assorted organic veggies & fruit and milk. Vegetarian Chili and White Bean Soup with Honey/Maple Syrup Sweetened Cornbread: served with assorted organic veggies & fruit and milk. Gluten-free cornbread is also available. Tacos: made with organic ground beef, choice of hard corn shells, whole wheat or regular soft shells, shredded cheddar cheese, salsa and lettuce. Black beans are seved as well as assorted organic veggies & fruit and milk.
