School LifeEach week the students report on the recent school happenings at our local radio station WTIP. This broadcast is from May 9. Noah and Erica from the Wolf Class had the following to report:
The Bear Cubs are having so much fun with poetry. They have been reading poems to the whole school during lunch. They are starting to use their nature journals again now that it is spring.
The 2nd grade Fawns heard a presentation about Mexico from Linnea Henrikson. They are making paper mache globes to hang in their classroom and are working on multiplication.
The Wolves cleaned up the woods at school. They are learning about and writing their own haikus in a 5-7-5 syllable format We are still building our own ocean and getting ready to paint it. The Wolves are also hosting Bingo at the American Legion. There will prizes and cash for the winners, so come out and bring your friends and family on Saturday May 10th from 7-9pm. The Otters are learning to speak French, and learning how Leanardo DaVinci used lines in art and drawing pictures for science ecology. We are moving our plants into our greenhouse getting ready for the big greenhouse sale on May 31st. Some of the allysum is already blooming, so keep Great Expectations in your gardening plans.
