Photo of the Week:  Wolves visit the Int’l Wolf Center
Last Thursday and Friday the Wolves class had the opportunity to visit the International Wolf Center in Ely.  The Wolves got plenty of time to watch the captive wolf pack during their overnight stay in the auditorium viewing area.  Many games and activities helped the students learn all about wolves and wolf behavior.  They also had the chance to do some orienteering!  It was a fantastic trip!  Thanks, Suzy, for making it happen!

Thank You for Your Help!

Thank you to our faithful volunteer Chris Callender who has shuttled our paper, plastic, and glass all year up to the recycling center!   Thank you to Peter Henrikson, Mike McMillan, and Angie Works who accompanied the Wolves on their trip to Ely.  Gina Macy helped keep the beat by teaching more drumming this week.   Mike and Karina Roth put together our last pizza lunch.  Thank you to all the volunteers who have contributed throughout the year to help us succeed!

The sound of these wolves howling awoke the Wolves class last Friday at 5:20 a.m.!  It was an early start to a great day which finished with a sunny hike at Tettegouche State Park.

Thanks for helping with our biggest fundraiser of the year!

Pancake Breakfast/Greenhouse Sale a wonderful Success!

On a beautiful Saturday morning, we sold over $4,000 in plants and raised over $600 from a wonderful pancake breakfast with real maple syrup, fresh fruit, sausage, orange juice, and coffee.   Many community members joined the families and staff of GES for a fantastic morning.  This event brings us closer to our year end fundraising goal of $9,500!  The fundraising committee would like to thank everyone who helped raise $8,080 this year!
