School Board Meeting Minutes

4:12 Call to Order
by Suzy Schweig
welcome & reading of mission /no introductions
4:13 Approval of Agenda
Motion: Tom moved to approve
agenda; Nina seconded; ayes all.
4:14 Approval of Minutes
Motion: Tom moved to table minutes;
Nina seconded; ayes all.
4:15 Committee Reports
1) Building & Grounds ::
Tom Dwyer reported on the continued work of the committee.
2) Personnel ::
Suzy Schweig gave a report on the work the committee is doing
with our UMD partner.
3) Parent Handbook ::
Suzy Schweig & Deb Dwyer reported for Patty Nordahl a
recap of the discussion that took place at the board retreat
and that Patty is looking forward to gathering input form
GES parents and students.
4:36 Old Business
1) Resource Coordinator's Report :: Deb Dwyer
~Touched on the staff changes at the MN DCFL.
~Encouraged board member and others to attend the MACS Conference
in February.
2) Curriculum Coordinator's Report :: Suzy Schweig
~Presented a recap of the EIC presentation at the board retreat
and of a subsequent discussion that occured concerning homework
and GES expectations.
3) Feb 12 & 25 Meetings
Reminder for board to call the intersted folks on their list.
Additional packets & applications are needed.

Remaining February Board Meetings are the 17th and 24th at
4pm at the Community Center in Grand Marais.
