Application Information

Great Expectations School (GES) is a public charter school, which opened August 18, 2003. It is a school of choice. As a public school, GES is free! We encourage you ask questions and become informed about our school so you can make the right decision for your student.

All students must submit an application for admission. To apply, complete one Application form per family; each student needs to fill out a copy of the student section. (Form is in Adobe PDF format.) We are currently revising the applications - most of the information is the same.

Preference will be given to students already enrolled and to their siblings. No child will be refused admission to the school on the basis of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, intellectual or physical ability, measures of achievement, aptitude or athletic ability.

Spaces will be filled on a first come first serve basis, and the school will maintain a waiting list for students who cannot be immediately enrolled.

Please note that for the 2006-2007 school year, GES has purchased bus transportation from ISD 166. On days when ISD 166 is not in session, and we are, parents generally use carpooling options, though limited bus service has been available.
